What to expect
Most patients feel a brief snapping sensation against the skin during treatment.
Visible improvement appears within 1 to 2 weeks; brown spots may temporarily darken before flaking away over 5 to 10 days, and redness gradually fades over the following weeks.
Mild concerns often improve in 1 to 3 sessions. More extensive sun damage, redness, or pigmentation usually needs 3 to 5 sessions about 4 weeks apart, with maintenance every 6 to 12 months.
Mild redness, warmth and temporary pigment darkening are normal immediately after treatment; you can resume normal activities right away.
