Texture, pores & scars

Smoother, more refined skin for acne scars, enlarged pores, and rough or dull texture: the kind of change creams alone rarely deliver.

What might you notice?

Texture is one of the hardest concerns to hide and one of the hardest to fix with products alone — no serum can resurface skin or rebuild collagen the way an in-office treatment can, which is why so many people cycle through creams for years without real change.

Changes in skin texture come from scarring, sun damage, and slower cell turnover as skin ages. Treatments in this category work by triggering the skin’s own controlled renewal process, so it gradually rebuilds smoother and more even over the following weeks and months — something topical products can support, but never fully accomplish on their own.

How do we approach treatment?

Texture tends to be visible up close, in photos, and under certain lighting in ways that are hard to camouflage with makeup — which is often what finally brings people in. Improvement in scarring and texture is realistic and often significant, but it develops gradually over a series of treatments.

Dr. Bat-Erdene will set expectations clearly after examining your skin and recommend the combination and number of sessions most likely to help. In some cases, she will also prescribe a medication or over-the-counter regimen, such as a topical retinoid or acne treatment, before or alongside in-office procedures.
