Neuromodulator (Botox®)
Before your appointment
- Avoid alcohol and NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin, Aleve) for 24–48 hours to reduce bruising.
- Reschedule if you develop a rash or infection, and let us know if you have a history of cold sores.
After your treatment
- Gently move the treated muscles for the first hour.
- Stay upright for 4 hours. You may cleanse and apply makeup the same day.
- For 24 hours, avoid alcohol, exercise, tight headwear and sexual activity.
- Avoid facials or massages for 2 weeks.
- Use ice or arnica for mild swelling or bruising.
